DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in the E-portfolio component for
Joomla, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a
vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the index.php script (when
"option" is set to "com_eportfolio") improperly validating uploaded
files when a document is uploaded to the Achievements, Plans, Events,
or Pages section. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code
by uploading a PHP file.

The vulnerability is reported in version 1.5.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
